medical updates

I and the family are very appreciative for all your kind words, support and reaching out. It has been four months. Those that do not have access to the internet of course want to know the latest. It can be tough to respond with upbeat comments, but still be realistic. One recent email comment to me was, "She has a lot of courage and grit".

Some ask how we are doing. Often the response is, "just fine, thanks for asking". Other times it is, "We have our moments now and then".

Your prayers, cards and notes over thise past months have been special. I am now on a 2nd box to hold those cards. Hopefully within weeks, we will be able to read them little by little to her, and she will register and then perhaps weeks later be able to read them herself. Like a good book, they can be devoured again and again!

In the works is an additional web site where you will be able to link between both sites. The site will attempt to answer: Who is Connie Skeele???? You are going to be in for a unique treat! Pictures of course, but who she is will be in her own words. How can that be? Do you recall the writer Laura Ingalls W. (Little House on the Prairie) who started writing at age 65 about her childhood experiences of the last part of the 19th century. What a memory! Connie 6 years ago shared much of her life in responding to about 160 questions requested by Shawn and Marty, but given to all her children as a Christmas present for them and her prodgeny generations to come. What a memory! There will be excerpts to come.

Stay tuned!

Dear Shawn and Win, Thanks so much for the latest messages. I check everyday for updates on my dear friend. She is in my prayers many times daily, and thought of often with affection. You all must be getting exhausted after all this time, but keep the faith for God will give you the strength when you feel you have none left. Love and prayers for you all. Jean
