medical updates
Published on December 7, 2003 By ShawnSkeele In Home & Family
It was another restful day with her music. Vital signs were good and stable all day. The medication and repirator support remained unchanged. Tonight, Mom not only open her eyes 3/4 upon being talked to but also blinked yes when asked if she could see me clearly. Though her morphine level is 2, she seemed more focused on what she is looking upward at. The skin and eyes look better everyday.

Her family needs rest. Scott is down with muscle spasms, Dad with a cold, my wife is fighting some bug and I'm feeling drained. Pray that God would renew our strength to do his bidding and looking after one another. I pray for God's hand of protection, provision and love upon you and your families.

P.S. - the eyes are the gateway to the soul. It was good for her to allow me to dimly see her soul. Hopefully, there will be more days to do so in the very near future.

Shawn, How does one access your comments on the book "Purpose Driven Life?" I don't seem to be able to find that on here. BZ

Shawn, Thanks for the web page information. Connie is on our church prayer list.
I sent a picture of Connie from 1999 to our church e-mail list so they can see who they are praying for.

Dear Scott,
I so appreciate receiving your updates on your mother. She is in our prayers.
I am sure you do not know who I am. My mother, Frances (Somers) Jones, was your grandmother's niece. Your mother, my sister, and another of our cousins (Becky) used to play together. It has been so many years since I have seen your mother. I spoke to her on the phone briefly when your Grandpa Russell died. That was probably the first time in over 30 years that we communicated. The world seems to be so large and the pace is so fast that we do not have all the time that we would like to have to do all the things we want to do.
Please pass this message on to your Uncle Dan.
Again, all of you are in our prayers.

Lois
