12/10/03 Mom Update

Mom had the tracheotomy at 10:45 am along with the feeding tube going directly to her stomach. All went well. Once the drugs wore off around 3pm, they started weaning Mom back off the respirator to the point of where she was at before surgery. All the tubes are now out of her mouth and nose! Hopefully the throat and vocal chords were not damaged beyond the body's ability to repair itself.

The prayer log is under the article heading of "prayer log", where you will be able to see what times have been spoken for. I will update this daily.

Please pray for Mom loosing the respirator, continued stabilization of vital signs, and the pnuemonia.

It looks like the prayer log is going to work out well....PTL. Glad things went well with the trach and feeding tube. Will hope for progress each day. Are you getting some rest, Shawn? And how is Scott doing? Hope Win is better too. Take care. I hope God can handle all of the prayers that are headed up there. Another sad day for DeRuyter, with Lisa B.'s tragic death. Seems sometimes that our little village is dumped on more than it needs to be. Take care.
