medical updates

Since early this morning, they again weaned Mom from the respirator leaving 20% pressure to help a little. Her vital signs have been stable and strong for most of the day. An antibiotic was administered last night to address the pnuemonia in the right lung.

The tracheotomy is scheduled for Wed. morning if vital signs remain stable and she doesn't kick the respirator beforehand.

Please pray for the medical staff and doctors to be given wisdom and discernment. Also, for them personally, family etc. with those things that can affect their work.

Thank you for all you do. We can't say it enough.

Hi there Shawn,

I'm new to the site, but have been following your journals for the last couple of days. I just wanted to let you know that you and yours are in my thoughts and I'm going to little a candle for your mom tonight to guide healing energy and warm thoughts to her.

I hope the surgery goes well and that the pnemonia goes away, and that she continues to heal well. Again my thoughts are with you and yours.

Sincerely,

TK

Hi Shawn, first of all thank you for taking the time to update your mom's church family on her condition, as well as everyone else who follows her progress. I hope it has some healing powers for you in that you are helping others in knowing her progress and also knowing what to pray for as the days go by.
Your mom is so very much missed as I am sure you can guess by the calls and other means of communication you receive.
I myself think of her so often and pray for her healthy return to her family, both biological and sprititual.
I will also continue to hold the rest of you up in prayer, I hope you can feel our prayers as well as God's presence. Take care Shawn and thanks again. God Bless

Praying especially hard that she will kick the respirator on her own before the trach has to go in. Please give her an extra kiss on the cheek for me. Linda is right.....this site means everything to us who also watch and wait. We feel helpless in this situation when there is so much we want to do. Each night, I look out my study window, across the main street, to our creche all lit up in front of the church. It gives me so much peace and hope for this situation. The Lord can do so much, and He has already shown His mighty hand in Connie's progress. Of course, it is not FAST enough for any of us, but He is working. I am so glad that you have your faith, Shawn. So many face these kinds of things with no resources at all. I am thankful for your mother's faith, because no matter what happens, He is holding her tight in the palm of His hand. God bless you all. Bonnie
