The weaning from the ventilator continues as Mom works on her endurance. Pray for this along with the blood pressure coming under control. Focus praying for all of you out there today.

Dear Shawn,

I don't know if you remember me but I was one of Deb's friends (from DeRuyter) in school. We moved to North Carolina in 1973.

I heard about your Mom's accident just recently from my sister Kathy Denkenberger. I emailed Deb and she gave me this site to get the latest on her recovery.

Know that your Mom has been in my prayers and will continue to be so.

Thanks for the prior email, Shawn. I sort of know that this is the path she will go, except for the healing powers of our Lord. Worked for a time with brain injured patients in rehab. So know how it can go. However, have also seen great things happen where there was little hope. I continue to count myself blessed in the last few weeks before your mom's accident, when we had several deep and meaningful conversations. On a very close and personal level. And during the study on Purpose Driven Life, I came to understand her in a way I never had before. It seems now that the Lord was preparing her, and us, for what was to come. Of course, i didn't see that then. But it is quite clear now. That study was something else. Wish you could have been there. I value those times, even though I have known her so long. It seemed we connected in a new way during those last weeks before her injury. That is why I am very sure the purpose continues, even now. i am trying to gather courage to go to see her. I want to, but it has been a hard thing to come to terms with. i think I may just pop in one of these days to tell her hello. Take care. BEZ

I encourage you to go, Bonnie, along with others with one condition; you are perfectly healthy along with those in your household and people you are around often. Even if you feel healthy, you could be a carrier if those you are around often are sick. The more stimulus Mom has from those she knows and loves, the better. She may not be in Syracuse much longer either. We are looking to move her as soon as possible to a brain rehab center.

Welcome to the "Mom Update" website, Ginny. I'm sorry I don't remember you but we welcome any and all who are being led to pray for Mom. I encourage you, if time permits, to go through and read all the updates from the beginning. Thank you for your concern, support and prayers.
