medical updates

Today had some surprising news and obvious improvement! Mom was lifted up by some harness and put into a recliner/chair today. It wasn't for long, but she did OK. As of 9pm tonight, she had been 31 hrs off the ventilator, but the best news is that her blood pressure was good throughout the entire day. It was almost normal. There is more voluntary and involuntary movement of feet, legs and the right arm. Seeing her yawn twice just blew me away! A few days ago, some of the nurses that enjoy Mom's music got together to sing along with one of the songs. Mom actually smiled! All these things are small that we just take for granted, but they are huge for Mom.

We are looking to move her to a brain rehab center as soon as possible. Please pray for wisdom for our family regarding the matter.

Thank you all for your continual prayers and support.

Praise the blessed Lord for His infinite goodness. This is a huge step forward. And to know she smiled at the music, well, that proves that she is hearing things. Each day, we reffirm her in our little groups and chance meetings and many are praying diligently. He is hearing us. We are standing in the gap for Connie now...just as CeCe Winans so eloquently sings on her CD. It is our byword. Thanks for sharing it with us and God bless you all.

Thank you Shawn for your words of encouragement. I have had surgery last week and expect clearance next week, so I am going to go to see her then. Thanksfor the great update on her. it is wonderfully encouraging news. The Lord is keeping wach while we stand in the gap for Connie. Listen to CeCe Winans CD and pay attention to that song, Standing In The Gap. It is what we women are doing for Connie right now, each day. God bless you all and know we are thinking of you, and willing to do whatever we can for your family. Just let us know.

Wow!! This is great news. Our God is an Awesome God!!. We prayed for Connie at our Bible study on Tuesday, as we were discussing prayer and how powerful it is and why we don't pray more often. We have had several miracles in our little church in Camillus, and we celebrated all of the Good Works God has done for those in need. Please know that we continue to pray for Connie and your family and we pray that God will show you the way as far as the rehab needed for Connie. May Gods' Blessings continue to be on Connie and the whole family as you continue on this journey. God Bless.

I'm so happy for you and your family! This certainly sounds like a step forward- even if it is a baby step- every step counts. I pray for your mom and family every day and know that God is holding you in the palm of His hand. When I do supply preaching I have that church also put your mom and family on their pray list. Remember as Paul writes in Phillipians 4: 6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." God Bless. Deb
