medical updates

Three and a half months after the accident, I am grateful that Mom is a well as she is though certainly not to the point of being content. We're fortunate to still have her and good odds that she might be able to return home someday. She has improved some to where she is in the "general population" resting, healing and receiving some physical therapy. Hopefully, they will admit her to rehab sometime soon when they think her endurance and stagmina is such to be able to sustain the level of therapy they do at the center.

Mom's speech has certainly degressed from before. Whether this can be improved upon in rehab remains to be seen. She has a nice nurse, Rebecca, looking after her during evenings and nights.

Mom enjoys her foot massages I give her before leaving. Sometimes they put her to sleep as it did Saturday when Dad and I went up to visit.

Please pray about the lung fluid and infection leaving her body. They are the two things that wear at her physically and stand in her way at getting back into rehab. I would ask you to regularly engage in spiritual warfare on Mom's behalf. "All authority has been given to me on earth, ye go therefore...." Let's steward what authority has been passed on to the children of God in His name. Amen.
